However, this was only a teaser, as the truly dominant years of the franchise would occur in the next decade.

For years, Larry Bird and company led this team to greatness. Basketball fans had the pleasure of witnessing a truly great era of NBA action as the Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Boston Celtics formed a rival triangle that may never be duplicated in the sport again.
