The most successful post-merger team in the NFL is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Once the glory years ended, the Steelers remained competitive in the 1980's and 1990's, making it to a Super Bowl in each decade. However, it wasn't until the 2000's, that the Steelers would win their next two Super Bowl titles. Bill Cowher and Mike Tomlin were the two coaches to bring these historic championships to the Steel City. Coupled with players like Ben Roethlisberger and Troy Polamalu, the Steelers remain as one of the best teams in the AFC.
